The SEW Personal Safety High Voltage Detector, also known as the 286 SVD, is a reliable sensor that detects AC High Voltage. Designed for electric engineering personnel, power engineering personnel, firefighting personnel and instrument equipment workers, the 286 SVD is equipped with a prominent warning system that ensures necessary safety action is taken while approaching high voltage. This helps to prevent any illusion or misjudgment that could lead to electric shock to person. When a person wears the 286 SVD and approaches a high voltage source or equipment, the sensor will automatically detect the presence of high voltage and trigger the buzzer to make a short beep sound and the LED light will flash. This serves as a reminder to operators that the user is approaching high voltage and special attention shall be given to the safety of operations. The 286 SVD has impressive specifications, including a distance of starting warning of 80 cm for 11.4kV (6.6kV voltage to earth) and applicable frequency of 50/60HZ. The detector produces a volume of 70dB or higher at a distance of 1 meter. It operates efficiently at a temperature range of 5 Degree C - 45 Degrees C and 80% RH. It has outside dimensions of 59 L x 56 W x 18 H mm and weighs 35g, including a CR2032 battery with a battery life of up to 50 hours.
