The FlexPoint RS-232 to Fiber Converter is a highly-functional device for your network communication needs. The 850-nm Multimode converter supports distances up to 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) and works as both a standalone converter or a hot-swappable chassis-mount converter in a FlexPoint Media Converter Chassis. With autosensing speeds up to 115.2 kbps, the converter is easy to install and includes a DC power supply. The FlexPoint RS-232 to Fiber Converter also features DTE/DCE configuration for easy connections to DTE or DCE devices using straight-through cabling, as well as half- and full-duplex capabilities. For remote fiber testing, the converter provides remote loop capability and LEDs for status monitoring, making it the perfect solution for your network needs. The technical specifications include Flow Control via software X-ON, X-OFF, and hardware via RTS, CTS, DCD, and DCR. The FlexPoint RS-232 to Fiber Converter is also CE approved and comes with connectors such as DB9 F for the RS-232 side and (1) pair of ST for the fiber side. The size is 1"H x 3"W x 4"D (2.5 x 7.6 x10.2 cm) and it weighs only 0.4 lb. (0.2 kg).
