Fibreflex MT-6746 is a non-asbestos beater addition gasket material with a maximum service temperature of 350F. It is a cellulose-based material bounded with a blended NBR-reinforced cellulose binder that displays excellent crush resistance at high flange pressures. This gasket material is suitable for sealing oils, fuels, and water up to 180 C (350 F). Fibreflex MT-6746 complies with ASTM F-104 F726156E52M4, and its physical test properties demonstrate a density range of 0.87g/cm3 (Min) to 1.03g/cm3 (Max), compressibility of 25.0% (Min) to 40.0% (Max), recovery of 20.0% (Min) and 45.0%, and tensile strength of 8.62 mpa (Min) (1250 PSI) or 1400 psi. The fluid immersion properties of Fibreflex MT-6746 indicate a weight change of up to 40% for ASTM Fuel B, 40% for IRM 903, and 60% for water, with thickness changes ranging from 1.5% to 10%.
