The BT6 1" Tri-Clamp Balanced Pressure Thermostatic Steam Trap from Spirax Sarco is a high-quality steam trap made from 316L stainless steel. It is perfect for use in hygienic and sanitary steam systems where minimal backing up is required. The BT6 is known for its ability to remove condensate efficiently and is particularly useful in applications such as sterile steam barriers, block and bleed systems, and drainage of steam with crevice-free bodies. The BT6 is self-draining and operates close to steam temperature, making it a reliable and efficient solution. For high-capacity applications or those that involve CIP fluids, the BT6HC is recommended. The BT6 is designed for use in vertical lines with flow downwards to ensure complete self-draining. Be sure to check the flow arrow for proper orientation. It's important not to over-tighten the clamp, as this may cause the gasket to extrude and interfere with the element frame.
