Wilcom T318-B Line Access Set is a valuable tool for accessing 2-wire and 4-wire facilities and simulating network functions. It is helpful for telephone companies, common carriers, and private networks. This versatile and portable accessory provides direct testing capabilities at the demarcation point by interfacing with a variety of analog transmission facilities. The T318B Line Access Set can be used for testing equipment for noise, transmission, signaling, and supervision testing on the transmission facility. The internal Reference Generator provides a 0dBm or -10dBm level tone referenced to 600 ohms. The Line circuit may be terminated into 900, 600, and 430 ohms or shorted. It has a balanced 2.16m F dc blocking capacitor that can be switch-selected and placed in series with any one of the terminations, including the TR TMS 310-type jack. The Wilcom T318B Line Access Set has solid-state indicators that show conditions of ON HOOK, NORM/REV Battery Feed, TIP GND wink signal, and the application of RINGING. Dialing is accomplished on the facilities being tested using the 16-key keyboard of the Model T318B. Ground-Start circuits can be accessed by the Line Access Set. The T318B Line Access Set is powered by ac line voltage and is housed in a rugged, sturdy, metal case designed to withstand the severe conditions that may be encountered in field applications. All the features required to seize, supervise, signal, and control both 2-wire and 4-wire facilities are built-in, easily accessible, and quickly mastered. In conclusion, the Wilcom T318B Line Access Set is a valuable tool for fiber optic technicians, providing access to analog transmission facilities and simulation of network functions.
